Senior React Engineer – Digital Applications

Our client, a leading financial services organisation, is looking for an experienced Senior React Engineer to support a large-scale digital transformation programme.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and enhancing modern digital applications, working closely with product, business, architecture and backend teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain modern digital applications using React.
• Translate functional and technical requirements into high-quality software solutions.
• Build responsive, scalable and maintainable front-end applications.
• Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product teams, Architects and Backend Engineers.
• Participate in Agile development and delivery processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
• Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation and development standards.
• Support integration and end-to-end delivery across digital channels.
• Ensure solutions comply with applicable enterprise security, development and architecture standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices and delivery processes.
• Support the transition of solutions into production.

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience in React development.
• Proven experience delivering digital applications within a large enterprise environment.
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript development experience.
• Experience integrating applications with REST APIs and backend services.
• Strong understanding of front-end development principles and modern application architecture.
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
• Experience with CI/CD and modern software development practices.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good understanding of enterprise development, security and quality standards.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
