Senior Front-End Developer

We are seeking a Senior Front-End Software Developer to support the development and enhancement of large-scale enterprise web applications for a public-sector environment in Toronto. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience across Java, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5/CSS, RxJS, Oracle, Spring, and responsive web development, along with hands-on experience delivering accessible applications compliant with AODA/WCAG 2.0 AA standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, document, and maintain enterprise web applications.
• Develop responsive and user-friendly front-end interfaces using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS.
• Build and maintain application functionality using Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, MVC, JPA, and Hibernate.
• Develop and integrate applications with Oracle databases, including SQL, tables, views, sequences, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Work with RxJS, Node.js/NPM, Bootstrap, jQuery, Maven, and Bitbucket.
• Translate technical specifications and business requirements into tested, production-ready applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues throughout development, implementation, migration, and post-implementation phases.
• Ensure applications meet AODA/WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility requirements.
• Collaborate with developers, IT professionals, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts throughout the SDLC.
• Participate in design walkthroughs, code reviews, testing, deployment, and application support.
• Contribute to complex, large-scale systems while meeting project deadlines and quality standards.

Must-Haves

• 10+ years of Java development experience
• 10+ years of JavaScript experience
• 5+ years of React
• 5+ years of TypeScript
• 5+ years of HTML5/CSS
• 5+ years of RxJS
• Previous Ontario Public Service (OPS) experience
• Strong experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, MVC, Security, JPA/Hibernate
• Experience with WebSphere 8.5+
• Experience with Eclipse, IBM RAD, or IBM RSA
• 10+ years of Oracle Database experience, including Oracle 11g+
• Strong Oracle SQL and database object experience
• Experience with Node.js/NPM, Maven, Bitbucket, Bootstrap, and jQuery
• Experience developing responsive web applications
• AODA/WCAG 2.0 AA experience is mandatory
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work onsite 5 days per week in Toronto
