Overview

The Front-end Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining and updating the customer facing web Veryable platform. Our Engineers build world-class applications and services to help manufacturing businesses and operators thrive in the Veryable products.


This role requires a passion for both beautiful interfaces and effective code.Β  We expect the engineer to follow protocols for creating, testing, and releasing products, but we want our engineers also to find ways to improve our processes and products. We are looking for engineers who are practical enough to release the best first version possible and idealistic enough to want immediately to improve that first version.


Most importantly, we are a startup, and we want our engineers to be excited about taking on new challenges, solving new problems, and reacting quickly to market changes and requirements.


Responsibilities

  • Design and build beautiful and user-friendly features, applications, and web pages to support our marketplace and workforce management tools
  • Own the entire development lifecycle of roadmap features, including design, development, testing, release and post-release support for customer facing web applications
  • Collaborate with backend and mobile engineering team counterparts to drive product development
  • Research new technologies, gauge their suitability, and integrate them into our platform
  • Embody our world-class tech team and company cultures


Requirements

  • 1+ years of professional experience building in React, HTML, and CSS
  • Thorough understanding of code architecture, state management, testing, and deployment
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and Typescript
  • Experience with UI design, cross-browser compatibility, mobile responsiveness, and accessibility
  • Proficiency in Node.js, Express, and SQL (or other server and database languages)
  • Passion for taking on new challenges, solving new problems, and reacting quickly to market changes and requirements
  • Ability to work in-office at our headquarters in Downtown Dallas
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher


Preferred Experience

  • Experience building reusable web components or libraries
  • Experience with code optimization and scalability
  • An established portfolio of previously built web applications
  • Experience building backend web application
