Front-End Engineer

As a Front-End Engineer at Simpel, you’ll be at the forefront of our product evolution. What You’ll Be Doing:

• Build and maintain new React-based user interfaces with a focus on modularity, performance, and accessibility.

• Partner with product and design teams to translate customer needs into intuitive, high-quality user experiences.

• Consume and help shape our new API-first backend services — aligning with contract-first development.

• Implement robust testing across the front-end stack using modern tools like React Testing Library and Playwright.

• Collaborate with the broader engineering team to define UI architecture, patterns, and a future-facing design system.

• Champion front-end performance, accessibility, and responsive design across devices.

• Participate in code reviews, mentoring, and knowledge sharing within the team.

• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and quality-first development.

Who you are:

• You are a passionate and collaborative engineer with 7+ years of front-end experience, ideally within a product-led SaaS business.

• You care deeply about user experience — with an eye for clean interfaces and intuitive interaction design.

• You are highly proficient with React, TypeScript, and modern front-end tooling (Vite etc.).

• Expert level mastery using vanilla JavaScript, HTML and CSS.

• You have experience consuming and designing RESTful APIs and working in API-first environments.

• You thrive in fast-paced, scaling environments and are comfortable navigating ambiguity.

• You believe that accessibility, performance, and security are non-negotiables in great software.

• You value mentorship, constructive feedback, and continuous learning.

• Bonus: experience with tools like Storybook, Tailwind, integrating with CI/CD pipelines, SCUI exposure and creation.
