About the Job

Join our team as a Senior Frontend Developer to help shape the frontend foundation that powers Saxo’s trading platforms.

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer to join Saxo's Platform Framework team and help shape the frontend foundation behind Saxo’s trading platforms. The team owns shared frameworks, design system components, developer tooling, platform capabilities, and architectural standards used by product teams across the bank.

This is a cross-cutting platform role focused on improving developer experience, platform stability, engineering productivity, and frontend quality at scale. You will work in a large, shared trading-platform codebase and related developer-tooling repositories, supporting roughly 150 developers.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop shared frontend frameworks, reusable components, platform services, and developer tooling used across multiple Saxo applications.
• Contribute to Saxo's design system, component libraries, frontend architecture, and technical standards.
• Improve platform stability, accessibility, maintainability, automated testing, CI/CD workflows, and release quality.
• Simplify ways of working for other teams by reducing friction, improving tooling, documenting standards, and promoting consistent frontend patterns.
• Collaborate with designers, architects, product teams, and engineers across Saxo, while mentoring developers through reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical guidance.

Your Profile:

You are proactive, pragmatic, and quality minded. You enjoy solving difficult technical problems, improving developer and user experience, and balancing technical excellence with practical delivery. You collaborate effectively across disciplines, enjoy mentoring, and sharing knowledge. Furthermore, you have:

• 3+ years of professional frontend software development experience (ideally with complex frontend applications and/or Node.js)
• Strong experience with React, TypeScript, modern JavaScript, HTML, CSS, accessibility, and frontend architecture
• Experience building reusable component libraries, design systems, shared frameworks, SDKs, or developer tooling
• A platform engineering mindset: able to think beyond individual features and focus on scalable, maintainable, long-term solutions
• Experience with automated testing, preferably React Testing Library and Playwright, plus CI/CD and Azure DevOps YAML-based workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work across teams and influence without direct authority

It would be an advantage if you have knowledge or hands-on experience within:

• Experience with React Aria or similar accessibility-focused component frameworks
• Design token systems, HighCharts or advanced visualization libraries
• AI-assisted development tools
• Experience using Node.js, Elastic, Kibana, C#, PowerShell
• Working in a large-scale financial or regulated environment would be an advantage.
