About Role:

We are seeking a Front-End Tech Lead with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) expertise to guide the remediation and optimization of AEM-based digital experiences. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, front-end development expertise, and architectural guidance to improve performance, accessibility, and maintainability of AEM components and templates.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Proven expertise in AEM front end build development, including Webpack configuration, npm and AEM client library management across multiple code repositories.
  • Strong skills with modern JavaScript frameworks for AEM implementations. React component development in AEM is mandatory, for both internal AEM React components and externally hosted React components.
  • Solid experience with general and AEM specific front-end languages, including HTL (Sightly), JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS (LESS/SASS). Experience with Handlebars and Storybook a plus.
  • Strong debugging and resolution skills, and able to work both independently and as part of a wider team as required.
  • Deep understanding of AEM component development, client libraries (static and generated), Sling models, and content authoring best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and mobile-first development. Experience with Handlebars and Storybook.
  • Experience in performance tuning, lazy loading, and optimizing Core Web Vitals for AEM.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Client Data Layer, Adobe Analytics, and Adobe Target is a plus.
  • Knowledge of version control (Git), CI/CD tools, and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with business and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Lead front-end development efforts for AEM remediation and repository migration, ensuring best practices and hight code quality.
  • Component & Template Optimization: Review, refactor, and enhance AEM components, templates, and client-side logic to improve usability and performance.
  • Headless & Hybrid Architectures: Support and optimize headless AEM implementations, ensuring seamless integration with front-end frameworks like React.
  • Performance & Accessibility Enhancements: Implement best practices for web performance, SEO, and WCAG accessibility compliance.
  • Testing & QA: Implement unit tests, automated UI tests, and front-end regression testing to ensure stability.
  • Mentorship & Code Reviews: Guide and mentor front-end developers, conducting code reviews and enforcing development standards.
  • Integration & API Development: Work with RESTful and GraphQL APIs to integrate AEM with third-party systems and external data sources.
  • CI/CD & Deployment: Collaborate on DevOps and CI/CD pipelines to streamline front-end deployments within AEM. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AEM as a Cloud Service (AEM aaCS).
  • Understanding of GraphQL and headless AEM implementations.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Experience Cloud ecosystem (AEM, Target, Analytics, Launch, etc.).
  • Certifications in AEM, front-end frameworks, or Agile development are a plus.
