Within AH Tech Retail Business Platform we are looking for an enthusiastic Frontend Developer (React/Next.js/SQL) for the sourcing domain.
This domain is responsible for the applications for sourcing and contract managers which give them insights into the retail market, support in negotiations with our suppliers and manage our contracts.
This is how you will reinvent food retail.
• Help rebuild our traditional tech landscape and create new applications in a modern innovative tech foundation (high code front-end) to scale our ever-growing core business.
• Build code, implement, and execute automated testing, ensure security, code quality, and contribute to best practices and deployment.
• Be a valued team member, that contributes and removes obstacles.
• Integrate and expand our contract management capacity.
Your new team and office
You will be joining the Contracts DevOps team, building a new application in a modern innovative technology landscape that will be the future contract management of AH.
You are working closely together with the other DevOps-engineers/Front end developers in the team, the solution consultant and the product owner to co-create the new application, but to also help the team to do the best possible work, mentoring other developers and sharing your experience. You make an impactful contribution to, not only the employees of Albert Heijn, but also the customers who shop at Albert Heijn.
Our engineers are passionate about their craft, and they want to keep learning and improving. They are not afraid to ask for what you need to make that happen and they go the extra mile to support each other delivering results, joint brainstorming sessions and pair programming are a regular things in our team.
Our teams work in a hybrid way: both from home as well as in the office. We can usually be found at the office in Zaandam (right next to the train station) one or two days per week.

• 8+ years of work experience in Frontend Development. You are an expert on ReactJs, NodeJs, Typescript
• You know about NextJs, React Admin, React query or any BFF technology. NestJs is a bonus
• Bonus if you know about testing frameworks for front end, like Jest or PlayWright
• Knowledge of REST, APIs, CI/CD and Cloud (Azure)
• Knowledge of SQL (PostgreSQL)
• Any experience with Kotlin, Kafka, GraphQL and other backend technologies is a bonus
• Familiar with Scrum/Agile methodology
• An outstanding command of the English language. Fluent in Dutch is a big plus.
• 24/7 responsible for the application development & Ops including the possibility of standby schedule.
